Making Rainbows

October 23, 2012 § 1 Comment

Plexus No. 19 is the latest project by installation artist Gabriel Dawe. The concept is part of an exhibition called ‘Agora’ running from the start of this month to mid-November as an element of Miniartextil in Como, Italy. Dawe uses colourful thread strung across the beautiful atrium of a 19th Century historic villa to create an installation that is constantly changing throughout the day. ”When the sun comes in, in the morning, it is fantastic. Having those window-shaped light beams add a dimension to the installation. I always like when I get direct sunshine on them because it emphasises the layering of the thread in very interesting ways.”
